Our Veterinarians

Dr BrintonMeg R. Brinton, DVM

Dr. Brinton is a 1987 graduate of Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a board member of both the Oregon Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association and the Friends of Vancouver Mounted Patrol.

She started Ridgefield Equine Clinic in 1989. Her focus includes sports medicine (racehorses, dressage, jumpers, barrel horses). Reproduction is also a special interest – the clinic has been expanded to accommodate semen collection, artificial insemination, etc.

Dr. Brinton is an avid dressage rider, and enjoys trail riding and travel. She also breeds and races Thoroughbred horses with her husband, trainer Nick Lowe. Meg and Nick share their home in Ridgefield with their lovely dog Marta, a Cairn Terrier.

Anne Marie Ray, DVMAnne Marie Ray, DVM

Dr. Ray pursued her Bachelor of Science degree in Equine Science at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. She then achieved her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A & M University in College Station, Texas.  Prior to joining our team, she completed a one year internship at Arizona Equine Medical and Surgical Centre.  Her areas of interest include dentistry, reproduction, preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery and lameness evaluations.

A native of Austin, Texas, Anne first came to the Northwest when she joined Ridgefield Equine.  She is settling into her new home with her dog Aidan.

Dr Alice BrintonAlice B. Lombard, DVM

A Pacific Northwest native, Dr. Lombard attended the University of Washington for her undergraduate degree and Washington State University for veterinary school. Equine veterinary medicine has been the focus of much of her life, riding along with her aunt, Dr. Meg Brinton, since she was six years old! She has also spent time working at many of the large equine practices around the country and has observed a wide variety of approaches.

With a special interest in camelid (alpaca and llama) medicine, she hopes to expand this aspect of the practice at Ridgefield Equine.

Beyond her love of horses, alpacas, and veterinary medicine, Dr. Lombard also enjoys hiking in the beautiful northwest with her husband and dog. She is very excited to be at Ridgefield Equine and is eager to bring her breadth of knowledge to the practice, clients, and patients!
